The idea of a remake of Glee sparked controversy among fans of the show.

Murphy shared an article on Instagram in which he voiced the idea of re-filming the drama:

Imagine it’s 2009, and I lived in a world where I knew Lea Michele, Ben Platt and Beanie Feldstein. If I had access to that talent, here’s the new pilot: Lea and Ben are frenemies who fight for the heart and soul of the Glee Club. Ben is also on the football team, and pretty much sleeps with the entire school and is the heartthrob of McKinley. Beanie is their mutual best friend, and torn. Suddenly, Beanie joins forces with Sue Sylvester, joins Glee Club and becomes the main soloist and the ruthless star of the club. “Lea and Ben have to then join forces to dethrone her. I WANT TO SHOOT THIS DO OVER PILOT,” Murphy added, “maybe I will?”

This article shared by Murphy received different reactions from fans. Some expressed excitement at the idea of a remake of the drama, while others said they did not like it. Many fans also stated that they would like to see the main cast of the series.

Eddie Van Halen: The Life Story of the Living Legend

The creator of the tapping technique, Dutch guitar virtuoso Eddie Van Halen, known as Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, opened his eyes to the world on January 26, 1955.

There is not much about the childhood years of the famous guitarist. The only thing known is that he started music with the piano, got bored with the piano and left the piano and started playing drums… “Where did the drums come from?” I can hear you say. These are the years when Eddie was unaware of the talent that has earned him worldwide recognition!

These periods of time that people spend unaware that they will do great things have always been interesting to me. Think about it, you realize your talent, you do great work from the moment you go on and start working, and your life changes. This is the full side of the glass.

Eddie Van Halen

We also need to see the glass half empty, a life you spend unconsciously when you have an ore waiting to be discovered. Be careful that don’t leave that glass empty. Remember, if you are a talented guitarist, you will never learn this unless you pick up a guitar.

In February 1962, his family moved to the United States and settled in Pasadena, California.

Eddie Van Halen continued playing drums for a while. His brother, Alex Van Halen, was interested in guitar during these years. But there was something wrong, as if the two separate pieces of the puzzle were struggling to adapt to a place that didn’t belong to them!

After a short while, the two brothers exchanged their instrument. Eddie Van Halen picked up the guitar to do great work. His brother, Alex, also took over the drums. The adventure was beginning…

Eddie Van Halen

Eddie, who started playing the guitar at the age of 12, practiced 8-9 hours a day. It was getting better with each passing day. By the age of 14, he was able to play every single detail of Eric Clapton’s solos in Cream.

In 1974, the two brothers laid the foundations of the Van Halen group with the group “Mammoth”. They started playing in Pasadena, where they met David Lee Roth.

Growing up in a wealthy California family at the time, Roth was performing in Redball Jet. Impressed by the brothers, Van Halen joined forces with the group. Later, the trio met bassist Michael Anthony and included him in the band.

The band started calling themselves ‘Van Halen’ after discovering there was another band called ‘Mammoth’. For the next three years, they played in both club and hotel bars, in Pasadena, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles.

Their repertoire included everything from pop and rock to disco. However, after a while, they continued on their way in their own way. Van Halen became the most popular local band in Los Angeles a few years later, and Eddie was now known for his breakthrough technique.

The band was quite successful. Their albums were selling by millions, and they didn’t leave the top music charts to anyone. Van Halen II, released in 1979, was able to continue the success of the band.

Years were chasing years, Eddie was adding glory to his glory and his reputation. Everyone was curious about the secret technique of this crazy man who turns his back on the audience at concerts!

Released in 1982 and playing on Michael Jackson’s Thriller, the world’s best-selling album, Eddie played the guitar solos of this album’s best-known song Beat It. This was one of the most important points in Eddie Van Halen’s career.

According to one rumor, Eddie only asked Michael Jackson $ 500 for the job and regretted the song’s hit.

His solo for “Beat It” was appreciated by his famous guitar teacher Arlen Roth as “A monumental lead break of great proportions”.

Eddie Van Halen

Van Halen released another album in 1984. This album was also very successful. Although Roth initially hesitated to use electronics on this album, he highly praised the band’s expansion of their range.

Although Van Halen achieved different successes every day, the situation within the group band not at all pleasant. During the tour in 1984, each member physically separated on stage.

Roth was dissatisfied with Eddie’s appearance in the song ‘Beat It’ and was bored with Eddie Roth’s attitude.

As a result, Roth was kicked out of the band and Sammy Hagar was chosen as the soloist in his place. Many critics said Hagar could not sustain the success of Van Halen, but contrary to what was thought, the success of the band continued.

But in the spring of 1995, tensions began to grow between Eddie Van Halen and Sammy Hagar, who hadn’t gotten along for a while. By this time, Eddie had begun treatment for alcoholism.

According to Hagar, Eddie fired him shortly after these. However, Eddie said Hagar left the band of his own free will.

Later, Van Halen met with Roth again and began recording songs. Rock media was very happy with this news. Everyone wanted Roth to return to the band. However, there would be no reunification. Eddie Van Halen and Roth were back on board for just two songs. Oddly enough, Roth also had hopes of returning to the band…

After all, Gary Cherone became the new vocalist of the band. The long-awaited Van Halen III was finally launched in March 1998. However, the reactions of the album were contrary to what was expected. It was the worst-selling album of Van Halen’s long career!

Upon this, Cherone was removed from Van Halen in 1999. Rumors about Roth’s return swirled once more. David Lee Roth said in a statement he made on his website that he had recorded several new songs with the band but had not heard from them since the previous album.

Just a few days after Roth’s news, Eddie Van Halen publicly announced that he was fighting cancer!

His loved ones were upset and afraid of losing him. But on one side, they were filled with endless confidence. Undoubtedly, Eddie would get through this…

Eddie had cancer of the mouth and tongue. Doctors said he was from smoking, but he strongly denied it. According to him, his illness was caused by a metal puck in his mouth held for 12-14 hours a day.

Eddie Van Halen, whose mental structure was impaired due to health reasons, became a very incompatible person as a result of this. This situation even caused him to divorce with his wife.

Fortunately, this difficult process ended with Eddie’s positive responses to different treatment methods. Eddie had recovered from cancer. However, he continued to smoke despite everything…

Eddie Van Halen is one of the few solo guitarists in the world who has won the love and admiration of many people, and even the famous musician Ritchie Blackmore portrayed himself with admiration and raised the bar.

Mary Alice: “When I was alive, I maintained many different identities. Lover, wife, and ultimately, victim. Yes, labels are important to the living. They dictate how people see themselves, like my friend Lynette. She used to see herself as a career woman, and a hugely successful one at that. She was known for her power lunches, her eye-catching presentations and her ruthlessness in wiping out the competition. But Lynette gave up her career to assume a new label, the incredibly satisfying role of full-time mother. But, unfortunately for Lynette, this new label frequently fell short of what was advertised”

Roy Bender: “It’s so important to say these things when you can because when it’s over, it’s over.”

Lynette: “I used to run a company with 85 people, and now I can’t even wrangle two kids without doping them?”

Bree : “I love to try out new recipes before the holidays. That way if the cookbook has it wrong, I can fix it”

Mary Alice : “Suburbia is a battleground, an arena for all forms of domestic combat. Husbands clash with wives, parents cross swords with children, but the bloodiest battles often involve women and their mothers-in-law. The war for control of Carlos began the night he proposed, and Gabrielle had been losing ground to Juanita ever since. From the prenuptial agreement which she reluctantly signed, to the selection of wedding music she despised, the color of the house paint she hadn’t wanted … Gabrielle had suffered one defeat after another”

Gabrielle : “As I see it good friends avoid each other after being humiliated, but great friends pretend nothing happened in the first place”

Mary Alice : “Keeping secrets is a lonely business. That’s why we all search for someone to confide in: an ally who will understand, an advisor who we can trust, a friend who will never judge.”

Mary Alice : “There is a widely read book that tells us everyone is a sinner. Of course, not everyone feels guilt over the bad things they do. But Bree Van De Kamp did. In fact, Bree had spent most of her life feeling guilty. As a child, she felt guilty about not getting straight A’s. As a teenager she felt guilty about letting her boyfriend go to second base. As a newly-wed, she felt guilty about taking three weeks to get out her thank you cards. But she knew the transgressions of her past were nothing compared with the sin she was about to commit”

Mary Alice : “When we see an opportunity in life, we have to take it. Whether it’s the hope of winning back the love of our life, a shot at proving our worth, or the chance to show a child the right path, but sometimes when we answer the call we have no idea what opportunity awaits us.”

Mary Alice : “As much as death takes from us, it also gives. It teaches us what is truly important, like giving back after a lifetime of taking, going after something we should have never let go of, or looking on to what made us who we are.”

Mary Alice : “There is a look that parents of well behaved children, give to the parents of the not so well behaved. A look that says ‘you should learn to control your kids. After all, they’re your responsibility’. Of course, it was easy for Susan to feel smug with a daughter like Julie. She always brought home straight A’s. She was helpful around the house. She was bright, affectionate, and considerate of others. To her mother’s way of thinking, Julie was the perfect child. Unfortunately, Susan was about to discover that no such creature existed. There is also a look that parents of not so well behaved children give to parents like Susan. It says, “welcome to the club””

Mary Alice : “Yes, life is a journey, one that is much better travelled with a companion by our side. Of course, that companion can be just about anyone… a neighbor on the other side of the street… or the man on the other side of the bed. The companion can be a mother with good intentions… or a child who’s up to no good. Still, despite our best intentions, some of us will lose our companions along the way. And then the journey becomes unbearable. You see, human beings are designed for many things, but loneliness isn’t one of them.”

Mary Alice : “No matter how secure we are, we all experience moments of dread. It may be just before we open our credit card bill or hand over a note to our teacher or step on the scale after a week away from the gym. Yes, we all experience moments of dread. And sometimes, we have no one to blame but ourselves.”

mary alice desperate housewives quotes

Bree : “You don’t understand. I’m not crazy . . . I just have a few issues.”

Mary Alice : “Sooner or later, the time comes when we all must become responsible adults, and learn to give up what we want, so we can choose to do what is right. Of course, a lifetime of responsibility isn’t always easy, and as the years go on, it’s a burden that can become too heavy for some to bear. But still we try to do what is best, what is good; not only for ourselves, but for those we love. -Zach and Julie interlude-. Yes, sooner or later, we must all become responsible adults. No one knows this better than the young”

Lonny : “It’s past noon, which means it’s now socially acceptable to start drinking!”

Robin : “No one judges the woman from the loony bin when there’s a stripper next door.”

Mary Alice : “Humiliation—it’s not always something we can avoid.”

Mary Alice : “Most mothers will tell you their children are a gift from God. Most mothers would also tell you that the gifts their children give them are less than heavenly. Lynette had suffered through art work made in kindergarten, spice racks made in summer camp, and jewelry made at the scout jamboree. But this day, Lynette Scavo received a gift every mother dreams of. One she wasn’t embarrassed to display. Lynette knew she’d cherish the memory of that moment for the rest of her life. The memory of that moment was ruined the very next day. Yes, most mothers will tell you their children are a gift from God. Most mothers will also tell you there are some days when you wish you could return them”

Mary Alice : “We all honor heroes for different reasons. Sometimes for their daring, sometimes for their bravery, sometimes for their goodness. But mostly we honor heroes because at one point or another, we all dream of being rescued. Of course, if the right hero doesn’t come along, sometimes we just have to rescue ourselves”

mary alice desperate housewives quotes

Mary Alice : “Marriage is a simple concept. Basically, it’s a contract between two people. It binds them together for life in the hopes that they can live happily ever after. Sadly, some contracts were made to be broken”

Mary Alice : “We all take the gift of life for granted, if only we could slow things down because before you knew it, the gift is gone.”

Lynette : “I’m a bitch.. with a capital C.”

Mary Alice : “It was at that moment it occurred to Ida, God may work in mysterious ways, but he isn’t particularly subtle.”

Mary Alice : “Cameras are simple tools designed to capture images. Images that tell us more about ourselves than we realize. They remind us of the long journey we’ve taken. The loved ones who traveled alongside of us. Those we lost along the way. And those waiting for us on the road ahead.”

Mary Alice : “Everyone understands the nature of war. We also understand that victory depends on the cards that we have been dealt. Some, when faced with a bloody battle, simply give in. But for some, surrender is unacceptable. Even though they know it will be a fight to the death.”

mary alice desperate housewives quotes

Gabrielle : “I’ve read the Constitution, and it does not protect ugly people!”

Mary Alice : “Temptation comes to all of us. Whether we succumb to it or not depends on our ability to recongnize it’s disguise. Sometimes it comes in the form of an old flame, flickering back to life. (Shot of Susan sitting by her fireplace, touching her lips) Or a new friend, who can be so much more (Shot of Peter helping Bree sober up with coffee) Or a young child who awakens feelings we didn’t know we had. And so we give in to temptation, all the while knowing come morning, we’ll have to suffer the consequences. (Shot of Gabrielle and Carlos at their home. Gabby is holding the baby, while Carlos is looking out the window)

Rex : “We’re not weird, we just seem like we are.”

Mary Alice : “Paranoia reminds you that no place is truly safe.”

Bree : “No, I can’t kill you today. I have Pilates.”

The Album That Made Four Down-to-Earth British Boys “The Clash”: London Calling

$
0
0

Founded in 1976 and one of the first bands to come to mind when talking about punk, The Clash’s third album, London Calling, dated December 14, 1979, was an album that summarized the understanding of time beyond being a cult.

They asked Bob Dylan, “Do you consider yourself a musician or a poet?” If he was a megalomaniac person, we wouldn’t be angry at Uncle Dylan, but look at how he answered the question: “I only consider myself a guitarist.” We’re sure Joe Strummer, the brainchild of The Clash, would have given the same answer if this question had been asked to him. But he wouldn’t have shown humility like Dylan, because he really was no more than an angry young guitarist.

So how did The Clash manage to make it one of the biggest bands in rock history?

Appearing in the punk band in 1977, The Clash’s self-titled debut album preceded Sex Pistols’ “Never Mind The Bollocks …” contrary to what most people think. The band released “Give ’em Enough Rope” right after a year with the acceleration provided by this album. “London Calling” is the 3rd album of The Clash. The first two albums of the group received very good reviews, and even both are still considered masterpieces. However, “London Calling” had such a superior musical expression with both its melodies and the words of a rebellious cry that the critics had to bring a new approach to the definition of the masterpiece.

The opening song “London Calling” is a simple and effective introduction and is at a level to outshine London’s burning from the Mars songs of their concerts, which were featured on their first album. “Jimmy Jazz” is not so unexpected from The Clash, which has always been open to black origin music such as reggae and blues; the vocals of soloist Joe Strummer (rip) in this song are very funky. The album originally begins with Hateful. The next “Rudie Can’t Fail” is a great rock’n’roll song with very simple chords. You are now warm to the album; there is no harm in waiting for a while for the doorbell ringing or a message to the mobile phone. Spanish Bombs is a pretty pop song, but this is Clash pop, not Michael Jackson or Madonna pop. The Guns of Brixton is one of the most melodic songs of the album and is the favorite of the author of these lines.

Wrong ’em Boyo, a piece of very sweet ska music, surprise you what you’ve been through: yes, no punk album you’ve heard so far has been this easy to listen to, right? The same atmosphere continues in Death or Glory and Koka Kola. Let’s get to The Card Cheat, the saddest song of the album. Hats off to Joe Strummer’s vocal performance in this song. It almost sings the song in a cry, and you now make your final and best decision about “London Calling”: this album is too complex, emotional, orderly, and even level to be described as a simple punk work!

Members of The Clash were not very special people

Members of The Clash were not very special people

They were neither guitar virtuosos, nor could they write poetic lyrics. However, this did not diminish the expressiveness of their music; on the contrary, we always felt closer to the music of these ordinary people somehow. They were too simple to be a rock star, too emotional to be average, and too sincere to be called bad. The members of The Clash were “human,” not rock star spoils with swollen ego. And the highest point they reached, “London Calling,” was the best form of music called punk and it still is. What does “London Calling” mean to you in the 37th year of its recording? Just punk? Rock’ n’ roll? Reggae, blues, soul, or funk?

“London Calling” is a classic that combines all the genres mentioned. What they tell me is more than “music,” something more abstract, and if you’re a rock listener, it should be for you too. Many groups tried to imitate The Clash, but none of them could give people what they felt. The reason was simple: The Clash members weren’t very good musicians. Let me be more honest: in the beginning, they couldn’t even manage to play any instrument properly. But they were genuinely enthusiastic about making music and were more sincere than perhaps any band in history. Aside from their latest studio album, Cut The Crap, which caused their crash, they never repeat themselves. That’s why they affected so many people.

Sons of Anarchy and the Culture of Violence

Sons of Anarchy is an American television series that tells the story of the Samcro motor gang. The gang lives in Charming, a small town in Northern California. In return for continuing their illegal activities, they offer to protect the people and maintain peace. There is hostility between the locals and other motor gangs, but thanks to Samcro, they lead a life away from crime. This is like a social agreement between the motor gang and the residents of Charming.

Samcro deals with the weapons coverage of the IRA, an Irish terrorist group. The motor gang has a relationship with the IRA for years. Although Samcro was originally a legal aid group consisting of people spending their free time with friends, over time, it has become a group of illegal businesses. Throughout the series, Samcro’s history is brought to light, and we come to understand the values in Samcro’s founding.

Origins of the Motorcycle Club

The first motor clubs began to be formed at the end of World War II when American troops began to return to the United States. The experiences the commanders shared among the different units of the army and the unity they felt during the war enabled them to have a unique experience in their lives. But when the war was over, all of this was gone. Many missed the wartime, especially as their daily lives were unbearable. Motorcycle Club members thought they were not suitable for civil life. They felt they were marginal in their environment. They saw things that no one had experienced and therefore formed a close bond with each other.

However, these men both desire to return to society and reject their new place in society. They form the Motorcycle Club to heal their wartime wounds. Motorcycles are the means of transportation that most people buy because of their low price. For this reason, they start to spend more time together as most of them have motorcycles. Everyone who has taken part in the arm-to-hand, hand-to-hand combat is invited to travel, walks, and other events of the Motorcycle Club.

Sons of Anarchy and the Culture of Violence

After the riots in the city of Hollister in the 1950s, some bikers abandon the traditional biker life and make up the famous 1%. The Motorcycle Association of America (AMA) states that 99% of bikers follow the rules. The remaining 1% does not agree to comply with the social norms of the association. They form the Motorcycle Gang.

Culture of Violence in Sons of Anarchy

Violence seems to be at the core of society. It is positioned as a social phenomenon used by groups to pass their words on to other groups. In a cultural context, violence is defined as a set of values and norms based on violence.

In this respect, violence is a method that feeds such violent behaviors and is used to solve problems. Accordingly, violence only breeds violence. This is clearly seen in the series: For groups to take control, they have to resort to more and more aggression each time.

Why? Because these behaviors, which were not perceived as “very serious” before, are responded with disproportionate violence. This causes greater pressure as the other party tries to print a more violent response.

Similarly, violence is a sign of respect or a sign of authority. In the hierarchical order, the dignity of the person and the club is above all else. The chairman, the leader of the group, must not only guide the group in the right direction but also socially lead the group in the right direction. He must ensure the club’s loyalty and ensure that the rules supporting the club are respected.

The Importance of the Family

The Motorcycle Club is built on family values. People in the club are not just friends or comrades; they are brothers. Likewise, they also contribute to the socialization of their children who are born in an environment where the ground is prepared to follow their parents.

The family is responsible for educating the Sons of Anarchy and reinforcing their ideals. Children do not go to school because they are “not part of” society. The values or rules they must obey are different, and they create unique concepts and ideas that are compatible with the realities passed down from generation to generation. This restricted learning opportunity that does not allow socialization outside the boundaries of the “family” prevents the new generations from having a wider vision.

The Role of Women

Women have formed a group outside of the Motorcycle Club. Although they are also members of the club, they have not moved away from the traditional role of women in society throughout history: wife and mother. In this way, Sons of Anarchy reflects the violence against women of all ages.

A woman must be a permanent girlfriend or spouse of a club member to be a part of SAMCRO. Other than that, women exist only to satisfy men’s immediate desires. The woman is always at the man’s command.

A woman is a person who ensures harmony in the group. She fulfills many functions to do this role. SAMCRO places a lot of emphasis on women’s relationships with club members because in the concept of the family, if you can’t give everything for the club, you don’t deserve to be in the club.

As a result, Sons of Anarchy tries to reflect the lifestyle and values that link many “motorcycle clubs.” Their marginal positioning after the war has driven them away from society and caused them to reject society. Their engines have become their lives and what defines them.
