the year 2022 was an extremely important year for space technologies. The James Webb Space Telescope, placed in orbit by the American National and Space Administration (NASA), has allowed us, as humanity, to witness many fascinating images that we have not seen before.

Here are the important space missions planned to be implemented in 2023…

Many countries are planning to send manned or unmanned spacecraft to the Moon in 2023, but why?

Astronomer Dr. from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. McDowell says that countries such as Russia, the USA and China are planning to build bases on the Moon where astronauts can live

Continuing his studies in England, Dr. According to Lucinda King, launching a spacecraft from the Moon is much more profitable and easier than launching it from Earth. Because it requires less fuel

For example, India aims to launch the Chandrayaan 3 program in June 2023 to explore the lunar surface.

Russia plans to launch the “Luna 25” mission in July 2023 in order to collect samples from the southern region of the Moon.

Xuntian Quest

One of the works that China plans to implement in the future is the Xuntian Task. China plans to send the Xuntian telescope into orbit in December 2023 to map distant stars and black holes.

OSIRIS-REx – OSIRIS-APEX

The OSIRIS-REx vehicle developed by NASA has been working on an extremely important mission for about two years. OSIRIS-REx has been studying the famous meteorite Bennu for a long time, collecting samples from the meteorite.

OSIRIS-REx, which started its journey in 2016, landed on the celestial body for the first time on October 20, 2020 and managed to collect samples. On the other hand, OSIRIS-REX is expected to deliver the samples it collected to Earth on September 24, 2023.

DearMoon

Space Missions Planned for 2023

DearMoon is a space expedition funded by Japanese entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa. Within the scope of this trip, it is planned that the crew, which will consist of 8 people, will perform a 6-day flight around the Moon

It is planned to use the Starship ship designed by SpaceX for this space travel.
