Fiona Apple Maggart was born on 13 September 1977 in New York City. The artists are known as “Fiona Apple” in the music sector. She is the daughter of dancer and singer Diana McAfee and television and movie actor Brandon Maggart. Since her family was active in the sector, Fiona was introduced with music at an early age and she started taking piano lessons when she was 8. Her trauma because of the rape incident she had when she was 12 years old pushed her to write lyrics.

On 23 July 1996, she releases her first album “Tidal” with 10 songs and the album reached more than 3 million sales.

She is remembered as a troubled little girl because she was swearing when she was on the market and she cried when she was giving interviews. In 1997 MTV Music Awards, she was awarded The Best New Artists of The Year. Her speech when she took the award got a reaction from many people and this caused her to attract attention in the music market.

In 1999, Fiona Apple releases her second album called “When the Pawn”. The full name of the album was a 90-word poem. The album was arranged by Jon Brion. The album was released as “When the Pawn” when a long name was not permitted as an album name. This album was sold more than half a million and made Apple more famous.

In her interview in the 2000s, she had arguments with standardized and ordinary artists of that time but she still insisted on writing lyrics and her ideas.

Fiona often had femme fatale vibe in her songs. She did something extraordinary and she told about her childhood trauma and life story in “Sullen Girl” song.

Apple releases her third album “Extraordinary Machine” in 2005. The album is produced by Mike Elizondo. Extraordinary Machine was among the best albums of the year.

Additionally, Fiona Apple wrote the Sally Songs song which is included in the soundtrack of “The Night Before Christmas” movie.

The Grammy-winner successful musician was taken into custody in 2012 during her Texas tour for having a high number of drugs and weed in her possession. Fiona Apple was released with bail and she was silent for a long time. She got treatment after this unfortunate event.

She made a cover of Across the Universe song by the 60s famous music band The Beatles. Her successful covers made the market to remember her.
