Famous British actress Emma Watson was caught travelling at 38 mph in an area with a 30 mph speed limit and received a 6-month driving licence penalty.

The 35-year-old Harry Potter star appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court today for a speeding offence in her Audi, worth around £30,000. This was his fourth traffic offence in the last two years.

With three previous fines in October 2023, November 2023 and January 2024, he accumulated a total of 12 penalty points and 3 more points were added to his driving licence.

Watson will also pay a total fine of £1,044 within 28 days in line with the court’s decision. This fine consists of £660 for pleading guilty, a surcharge of £264 and court costs of £120.

On the same day, another Harry Potter actress, Zoë Wanamaker, also received a driving licence fine. Wanamaker, 77, who played Quidditch referee Madame Hooch in the first film, was caught doing 46 mph on a 40 mph speed limit road in Wiltshire.

Emma Watson’s speeding violation was detected by a speed camera on a road with a strict speed limit in the city where she was studying for a PhD at Oxford University. At the time of the incident, Watson was driving her Audi S3 model car worth about £ 30,000.

This is not the first time Watson has encountered traffic problems. In February last year, his car was towed away by the police for parking incorrectly outside the Rose and Crown pub in Stratford-upon-Avon. The car blocked the entrance to the car park, so the pizza restaurant manager’s car was stuck inside for about 3 hours.

After a 12-hour long shift, the manager, who could not find his car, had to inform the police when he could not find the owner of the car.
