ChatGPT, the productive AI tool, leads the field globally with 4.7 billion monthly user visits.

According to the information on the AITools website, the usage rates of artificial intelligence developed by different companies in the world are increasing day by day. ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI and attracting great interest since its first day on the market, draws attention as the most visited application.

Although the artificial intelligence tool experienced a decline in monthly visitor traffic with the launch of China-based Deepseek, it ranks at the top with 4.7 billion visitors.

According to the list, which evaluates not only productive artificial intelligence but also artificial intelligence in general, Canva, a graphic design application, ranks 2nd. The application is far behind ChatGPT with 887 million monthly visitors. Google’s translating artificial intelligence Google Translate ranks 3rd in the list with 595 million monthly visitors.

DeepSeek ranked 4th in a short time

Chinese DeepSeek, which has caused a decrease in the number of visitors of US artificial intelligence tools with its cost-effectiveness and successful performance since its announcement, ranked 4th in the list.

In January 2025, DeepSeek’s monthly users increased by more than 2 thousand per cent to 268 million monthly users, while ChatGPT’s monthly visitors decreased by 2 per cent in the same period.

Character.AI ranks 5th on the list with 226 million monthly visitors, JanitorAI ranks 6th with 200 million monthly visitors, and Perplexity ranks 7th with 133 million monthly users.

Gemini, which was implemented by Google and shown as one of the biggest competitors of ChatGPT, could only enter the list from the 8th place. With 118 million monthly users, Gemini lost more than 9 per cent of visitors in January 2025, when DeepSeek started to be heard all over the world.

In the list, Remove.bg ranked 9th with 112 million monthly visitors, and Claude ranked 10th with 105 million users.

Seven of the most visited artificial intelligences are based in the USA.

On the other hand, as the AI competition between the US and China reignited with the emergence of DeepSeek, 7 out of the 10 most visited AI tools on the list were US-based AIs.
While China could only place one company in the top 10 with DeepSeek, it managed to become the fastest-rising AI tool in terms of companies increasing their monthly visitors on a percentage basis.
