Huawei has introduced one of the most interesting foldable smartphones after Mate X. Huawei Pura X folding phone looks like a Galaxy Z Flip-type device at first glance, but it makes a difference with its 16:10 aspect ratio.
Huawei Pura X has a 6.3-inch inner screen, 3.5-inch cover screen. The displays provide a 120Hz refresh rate, brightness up to 2500 nits. Huawei says that the large screen provides many advantages over traditional smartphones. It is stated that it provides 40% more visible area for short videos and 60% more visible area for photos and texts.
The cover screen features three camera sensors, which are rare in devices with this form factor. A 50 MP main camera, a 40 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8 MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom make up the camera setup. In front, there is a 10.7 megapixel camera.
Huawei Pura X runs Harmony OS 5 with a new native app ecosystem at full speed thanks to a reworked kernel, an improved Ark engine, and end-to-end cloud integration. Software performance is improved by up to 40 per cent compared to the previous HarmonyOS version. For the voice assistant, the phone uses generative AI powered by the Pangu big language model with DeepSeek models. There is also an AI feature that helps users turn the page on the screen with eye movements.
Huawei, Pura X comes with 12 GB RAM and up to 512 GB storage. Huawei Pura X Collection version offers 16 GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. A 4,720 mAh battery powers the foldable phone. The battery supports wired 66W, wireless charging at speeds up to 40W.
