German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has extended his contract with Bayern Munich until June 30, 2026.
Bayern Munich renewed his contract, which was scheduled to expire at the end of the season, for another year. It will be the experienced goalkeeper’s 15th season at the club. Neuer, who joined Bayern from Schalke in the summer of 2011 and has achieved many successes at the club, where he has been captain since 2017, said in a statement after the signing that he enjoys playing football and wants to remain a Bayern player. Stating that he is still hungry for success, the 38-year-old goalkeeper said: “I can’t wait to spend another year at this special club. We have many more goals to achieve together.”
Neuer, who wore the Bayern jersey in 547 official matches, won the Bundesliga championship 11 times, as well as the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup twice, the German Cup 6 times and the German Super Cup 7 times. Manuel Neuer, who also wore the Germany National Team jersey 124 times, won the World Cup in 2014.
