A road through 32 volcanic craters

Also, don’t forget to stand on the biggest crater, where locals have built a restaurant and cook food on a grill (which has a constant heat from under the ground – there at a depth of 13 metres, the temperature rises to 600 degrees). The most unique wineries made of volcanic rocks
As the island was burnt by volcanoes, the grapes that disappeared as a consequence were forced to be grown by the locals using a new method. It was decided to dig deep craters in the lava to reach the soil, and they were built near each one to protect them from strong winds. But the solidified lava has positive properties, it absorbs all the moisture at night and does not let it evaporate during the day (so the question of irrigation was eliminated). This is how you get a very interesting and a little bit specific to the taste of wine on the island of Lanzarote!

César Manrique is a very interesting person who, being in love with the nature of the island of Lanzarote, has developed many artistic projects about all the most interesting and necessary things in the area.
