Bob Dylan, Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child at Sony Grammy Party 2002

The 44th Annual Grammy Awards were held on February 27, 2002, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. This year, R&B singer Alicia Keys emerged as one of the big winners, taking home three Grammy Awards U2 also had a successful night, winning two awards and delivering a memorable performance dedicated to Aung San Suu Kyi. Other notable winners included Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil’ Kim, Mya, and Missy Elliott for their rendition of “Lady Marmalade,” Nelly Furtado for female pop vocal, Mel Brooks for his work on the Broadway musical “The Producers,” Lenny Kravitz for male rock vocal, and The Blind Boys of Alabama for their album “Spirit of the Century” in the traditional soul gospel category.

At the 44th  Annual Grammy Awards, Bob Dylan gets a Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album for “Love And Theft”. Dylan and the band perform Cry A While.
