Bob Dylan, born Robert Zimmerman, spent his early life in Hibbing, Minnesota. While Dylan’s formative years in Hibbing shaped his later music, there is no widely known or documented connection between Dylan and the Hibbing Bowling Center

In 1953, the Hibbing Bowling Center was built with 12 lanes. (A pinsetter had to manually reset the pins.) Soon enough, the Gutter Boys, a six-boy bowling team featuring Bob Dylan, became the 1955-56 Teenage Bowling League Champs

The 1955-56 teenage bowling competition was won by a group called the Gutter Boys. Bob was one of the 6 team members. Second from the left is Bob Zimmerman.

Dylan’s early musical experiences in Hibbing primarily revolved around his performances at the school and local events, as well as his listening to a variety of radio broadcasts. After high school, Dylan moved to Minneapolis and then to New York City to pursue his music career.
