It’s not the drugs that make a drug addict, it’s the need to escape reality.
Who we are is less relevant than what we are, and what we are is different from them.
“I’m one of those people who’s comfortable with the idea that there’s more going on in this world that we don’t understand than all the things that we do.” —Grace
Life and death are always so mixed up together, in the same way some beginnings are endings and some endings become beginnings.
— Capheus (Aml Ameen),
There’s a huge difference between what we work for and what we live for.
“The real violence, the violence I realized was unforgivable, is the violence that we do to ourselves, when we’re too afraid to be who we really are.” —Nomi

Sun: “We exist because of sex. It’s not something to be afraid of. It’s something to honour, to enjoy”. My quote to live by (just don’t be a whore tho). This really shows the series progressive point of view on sex. And especially impressive coming from Sun – an Asian girl who’s supposed to be a lot more conservative about it because of society pressure. It’s such a shame that even in the more open western culture, consent, tastefully-shot sex on screen is still be seen as a taboo (notice few the complainers in this sub), but people don’t give a fuck about brutal killing scenes.
