Having had a poor childhood, Eminem moved to eastern Detroit with his mother when he was 12 years old.
Having to change schools every two or three months gave him great difficulties in making friends, avoiding trouble and graduating.
In return for all this, rap was Eminem’s consolation.
He started making his debut at the age of 14 and became famous as a member of the Motor City duo Soul Intent.
