The book covers 150 years (but it only narrates the half of the Targaryen family, A second book called Robert’s Revolt is planned to complete the story of the family).

WHAT IS THE STORY OF ‘FIRE AND BLOOD’ BOOK?

Fire and Blood is the story of the Targaryen family in Westeros. The story begins when Daenerys Targaryen’s great grandfather Aegon arrives and ends in the middle of Throne timeline 150 years later. We can see multiple generations turn into ruins and legends. First, Aegon and her sisters Visenya and Rhaenys who are the Three Blond Trio of the fantasy archetype comes to choose spouses: a ruler, an imperialist warrior, a discover. We follow them for years until their children have children. There is another Aegon who loves party and speaks barely. There are simple monarchs who do not care about the politics and giant warriors gathered for backstabbing… The sections of this book were separately published before. But you can read Fire & Blood as a separate story series.

HBO announced a new Game of Thrones TV show called House of the Dragon. What we know so far:

WILL THE TV SHOW BE LIKE THE BOOKS?

If the TV show will be liked the books, the main character will change in every few episodes as the Targaryen leader changes. This is why, the TV show might focus on a certain time and character. This way, some of the episodes might be linked.

WHAT WAS THE CIVIL WAR ABOUT?

Let’s look at this convicted young Shireen who told about the history of Targaryen in GoT and her story to her father, Stannis: “This is the story of the struggle between Rhaenyra Targaryen and her half-brother Aegon for control of the Seven Kingdoms.” – “Both thought they belonged to the Iron Throne. When people started proclaiming for one or the other, their quarrel split the kingdoms in half. Brothers fought brothers; dragons fought dragons. When it was over, thousands of people died. And it was a disaster for the Targaryen’s. They never really got better.”

IS THE SHOW ALL ABOUT TARGARYEN FAMILY?

Absolutely not! The familiar houses were there and they will play a role. For example, Starks and Lankers joined the Targaryen civil war. Greyjoys, Baratheons, Tyrells and others were at the center.

WHO IS MAKING THE TV SHOW?

The TV show is created by Martin and screenplay writer Ryan Condal (Colony). The first concept was developed by famous GoT writer Bryan Cogman who worked on upcoming Lord of the Rings series in a general contract in Amazon Studios.

Condal is the main actor for the show with Emmy award winner GoT director Miguel Sapochinik who directed famous “The Bastards Battle”, “Hardhome” and “The Long Night” episodes. Sapochnik will direct the first episode of the new TV show. He might direct other episodes as well. Sapochnik also made a general production contract with HBO network.

HOW MANY EPISODES WILL GAME OF THRONES: HOUSE OF THE DRAGON HAVE?

WHO WILL BE IN HOUSE OF THE DRAGON?

There is no actor or character list yet. Since the TV show is not near, it is not possible to see some of the GoT actors (except Melisandre who was hundreds of years old in GoT).

WHEN WILL THE NEW GOT TV SHOW BE AIRED?

There is no release date yet but it will be aired probably on 17 January 2021.
