Keanu Reeves facts and biography
Keanu Reeves was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1964, where British mother Patricia Taylor and her Chinese Hawaiian father Samuel Norlin Reeves Jr. met.
When Keanu was only 3 years old, his father left them.
Since they had moved many times since childhood and adolescence, Keanu Reeves had to change many schools.
Reeves had problems at school because of his dyslexia, so he didn’t have an easy childhood.
He has never been a good student; but when he was at La Salle College, he was a very successful hockey player.
His acting life started with the theater play “Damn Yankees” when he was 9 years old.
Their debut on the scene was when he starred in an episode of ” Hangin ” in California and appeared in several television commercials.
He portrayed a Quebec goalkeeper in his first studio shot, ‘Youngblood’ (1986).
In 1999, he got his first major role in the movie “My Own Private Idaho” by Gus Van Sant. They would be very close friends with River Phoenix, whom he met in the shoot.
Five years after her best friend’s death, in 1998, Keanu Reeves met Jennifer Syme, who was then assistant to the famous director David Lynch.
They both fell in love with each other, and Jennifer got pregnant. On December 24, 1999, Jennifer gave birth to Ava Archer Syme-Reeves after 8 months of pregnancy; but the baby was born still.
In 1999, he started shooting ‘Matrix’ shortly before his daughter’s death.
Reeves took part in the movie “John Wick” in both production and as an actor in 2014.
