3- The band shares names with a Pokémon. Yes, you read right. There is a Pokémon called Volbeat, which looks like a firefly. Their special feature is their shining tail that they can attack with.

6- In 2011, guitarist Thomas Bredahl was thrown out of the band. Volbeat continued its tour plans without delay. Among other things with Hank Shermann from Mercyful Fate as stand in.

At that time Aqua was on everyone’s lips also in the US, where they reached a 7th place on the same list with the album “Aquarium”.
10- The band had problems with their “Beyond Hell / Above Heaven Live 2010” tour when guitarist Thomas Bredahl did not get his visa approved by the US government. According to the band, this was due to an episode several years ago regarding a stolen bar stool. “He wasn’t a definite youth criminal, but for Homeland Security it’s all the same,” the group said. After a couple of missed concerts, however, Bredahl finally got approved of his stay in the country.

12- Volbeat were nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for “Room 24”
13- Volbeats second album “Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil” from 2007 became the first Danish metal album ever to reach the top of the Danish chart. The album even sold platinum, which is also the first thing in its genre to do.
